CSP International

Well, Shelley and I packed the kids off to Austria on a skiing trip on Friday, and we set off on Saturday to Gran Canaria. However, I did take the Road bike, so it wasn't all bad.
We landed on Sunday morning at one o clock, I woke at eight, had the bike built by nine, fed and watered by ten and off I went with a car hire map of the island, oh and no bidets.
Didn't take me long to realise that so called into the next supermercado on my route picked up a one litre bottle of water( just fit). The sun was shining, I was riding up towards the mountains, legs felt good, life was good.
Well it was for about fifteen blissful minutes and then the incline rose by a few degrees along with temperature. Now the pain began, not too bad though , it eased off at every hairpin all the way to the top of the island two hours and fifteen minutes and twenty miles later at Cruz de Tejeda. I returned by a different route that brought a grin to my sweaty countenance . Three hours forty minutes , 2100 meters climbing, forty two miles,4 litres water and coke. Job done for day one. Happy days.
